So I was looking at 'Nothing To Do With Arbroath' today and saw this unbelievable article about how Mr. Ed - the famous talking horse - was actually played by a zebra and that on black&white film a zebra could not be distinguished from a horse...

I found this EXTREMELY hard to believe but thought I would pull up some good B&W zebra pics just to be SURE...
while I was kinda' hoping that some miraculous phenomena would make the animal appear 'stripe-less' ...
this was all I found...
and then I came across THIS:
