Hayley Mills fan

I loved The Parent Trap. I can remember the thrill of watching it, and combined with Pollyana (which i also adored but re-watched with a certain sense of dread, knowing all along that she would fall from that tree...) I have been a Hayley Mills fan for as long as I can recall,
my mother one before me...
... even taking this into consideration I remained surprised at how much I liked looking at the large collection of old photos of her in her truly beautiful youth.
oh!... and 'That Darn Cat'!!... remember that one?!...
loved it...

When I was in High School in l974, several people came up to me and said "you look like Hayley Mills". I had always thought I did too because I used to buy every movie magazine and there she'd be with others whom I liked also. In l998, I had the privilege of seeing her in Charlotte, NC in the "King and I". Later in 2005, I saw her in "The Bird Sancturary" in Penn. I gave her a birthday card (her birthday was in 4 days) and she said to me "let me give you a big hug". Not only was she sincerely SWEET but I now call her
Hayley the Huge Hugger". She was a baby doll and I told her so. Then in June 2006 I got to meet her again in TN, again she was a baby doll and let me take several pictures of her. I told her about my high school days of going to my locker BECAUSE I named my locker "John Mills" because the combination lock was 2/22/8---which is/was John Mills' birthday!! February 22, l908!! When I told her this she was amused but the man with her laughed out loud, perhaps in my excitement of seeing her again, I spoke too quickly. But she was always a 'gracious lady' as my husband called her. I call her a baby doll--she gave me a big smile for that one. Blessings to her and her family!
